Palo Santo means “holy wood” and, just like white sage, has its roots in the indigenous peoples of North America.
Centuries ago, they used it in rituals to cleanse energy fields and protect against negative influences. In Europe, many also choose to buy this holy wood to cleanse their homes or simply to enjoy the scent in its purest form.
The aroma is warm, woody, and mild, with a hint of light sweetness that sometimes comes through. Compared to white sage, which is used for similar purposes, Palo Santo gives off a much milder scent. It is hard to imagine anyone who would not be enchanted by this natural and spiritual aroma.
